New “Best of New Richmond” Survey Invites Community to Nominate and Vote for Local Favorites
Public Nominations Open October 7 — More Than 230 Categories Across 11 Sections Will Celebrate the Businesses, Organizations, People and Places That Make New Richmond, WI Special
New Richmond, WI – October 2026 – What makes New Richmond one of western Wisconsin’s best places to live, work, visit and explore?
This fall, the community decides. Visit New Richmond is launching the 2026 Best of New Richmond, WI, a community-wide celebration inviting residents, visitors and local supporters to nominate and vote for the businesses, places, experiences and local favorites that make New Richmond, Wisconsin, unique.
From favorite places to eat and shop to local services, recreation, automotive, health and more, Best of New Richmond features more than 230 categories across 11 major sections, giving the community plenty of ways to recognize the businesses, organizations, places and people that make New Richmond special.
Public nominations officially open Wednesday, October 7, giving the community an opportunity to support longtime favorites, discover local gems and add deserving individuals, businesses, clubs, and organizations
“New Richmond has so many locally owned businesses, organizations and places that people are passionate about,” said Michelle Scanlan, City Clerk for the City of New Richmond. “Best of New Richmond gives everyone a chance to celebrate those favorites while also introducing people to businesses and experiences they may not have discovered yet. It’s really about showcasing what makes New Richmond special and giving our community a voice in recognizing the places and people they love.”
Rather than a committee or panel selecting winners, the public will help determine who advances and ultimately earns the title of 2026 Best of New Richmond.
Best of New Richmond Timeline
The program begins with a public nomination period followed by a final round of community voting.
2026 BEST OF NEW RICHMOND TIMELINE
October 7 – Nominations Open Community members and visitors can begin nominating their favorites and adding new selections they believe deserve to be in the running.
October 28 – Nominations Close The nomination period ends, determining which favorites will advance to the final ballot.
November 10 – Final Voting Begins The top nominees in each category advance to the final ballot, giving community members and visitors the opportunity to vote for their favorites and help determine the Best of New Richmond winners.
November 24 – Final Voting Closes The final votes are counted, and the 2026 winners are determined.
December 4 – Winners Announced The 2026 Best of New Richmond, WI winners are officially revealed.
The initiative is about more than earning bragging rights. Organizers hope the program encourages people to explore New Richmond, try somewhere new, support area businesses and discover more of what the community has to offer.
For businesses, organizations and attractions, the nomination and voting periods also provide an opportunity to engage customers and supporters and encourage them to share what they love about New Richmond.
“Sometimes the places we recommend most enthusiastically are the places we drive past every day,” Scanlan added. “This is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on those businesses and experiences and celebrate the people behind them.”
